If you are Vegan, like myself, you will absolutely love Chopt. There are locations in most states on the east coast. If you are in North Carolina there are several locations in Charlotte, one in Chapel Hill, a few in Raleigh, one in Wilmington and one in Winston Salem. You can find all of their locations here.
So, what makes Chopt so good? First of all, all of their vegetables are very fresh. I have never gone to a Chopt locations and felt as if the vegetables were more than a few hours off the vine. The base is also very good. I tend to get Spinach but the Chopt Blend is quite tasty as well.
If you aren’t in the mood for a salad, you can get any style salad into a wrap. The wrap tends tends to be a little less food but still plenty to fill you up.
The one thing that some non Vegans would say about Chopt is they give you way too much of a base, such as lettuce, spinach or Chopt blend. If you are used to Chick Fil A or other types of fast food, you will think the Chopt salad has a ton of a base.
The good news is all Chopt salads are put in a to go bowl. You can eat half of it and take the rest home. The bowl seals on the top and the left over salad is great for a later meal. If you are ever in need of a great salad in Raleigh, Durham or Chapel Hill, I would strongly suggest going to Chopt.
